We listen to your story then choose the tools we need to tell it well. Then we do the job the way we’d expect it done for us. Yup. That’s about as complicated as it gets. Read our bios to get to know us a little better.
Troy and Toni Birdsong moved Birdsong Creative from Los Angeles to Franklin in 2005. Since then, they’ve made their niche as one of the most agile, creative firms in the Nashville-Franklin area. They’ve worked (and continue to work) with large brands such as Disney, Warner Brothers, Gaiam, Virtuoso, and McAfee/Intel but put equal creative bandwidth into smaller businesses who possess a fire to communicate well.
Today the Birdsong Creative team has grown to include a team of creatives who are thinkers, programmers, marketers, writers, and graphic designers. From web design to branding campaigns, the collective Birdsong team continues to make its mark in the creative arena. Our current team includes: Teresa White, VP Operations, Adam Silverman, Lead Programmer, Thomas Brown, Senior Designer, Leah Kreuger, Designer, and Chris Kessling, Project Manager. To read more about our current team, culture, and projects check out our Instagram.
Both Troy and Toni have served on a number of boards locally including Nashville American Marketing Association (NAMA), The Cool Springs Chamber, YMCA’s Restore Ministries, Williamson County Schools IT Advisory Board, Gospel Music Association/Dove Awards Gold Members, and, most recently, The Art Institute of Nashville’s Advisory Board.
We open our doors each day with the goal of increasing our client’s position in the marketplace over all mediums—be it web, social media, print, or the retail arena. We work with large brands, small businesses, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and ministries.
We want what you want: Smart, relevant solutions that move you forward, get results, and expand your amazing contribution to the world.
We treat your business with the same creative care we would treat our own; looking at it from every angle and moving thoughtfully.
We listen. We pay attention to the details. We take quality and our clients’ “happy” level to heart. When you put those values together, we hope you get something refreshing.
Our biggest flaw: we don’t just go the extra mile, we pitch a tent and live there till the job sings—literally!
We believe in serving our community and our clients with excellence, integrity, and kindness (yeah, we’re bringing back the “k” word). We believe in giving back, pouring in, and coming alongside. We believe in long-term relationships, not turn-and-burn projects.
We believe in gratitude, generosity, creativity, and mad perseverance, which you will see woven throughout everything we do.
We’ve learned that when you get away from who you are at the core—nothing really works. So, we operate hi-tech in our tools but old school in our business relationships.
We have a Board of Advisors that holds us accountable in life and in business. This faithful Band of Brothers pours into us professionally and spiritually. They are: Rick Cua, Ed Page, Mike Smith, Jeff Fleishour, Aaron Kenny, Bob Elder, Dave Buehring, Jason Bradley, Myron Goodwin, Shane Kenny, and Kurt Beasley.
When writing the story of your life never let anyone else hold the pen. ~Anon.
Troy is the linear/creative hybrid of Birdsong Creative. While everyone is clamoring to fly the pretty kites, Troy’s the only one who remembers to bring the string. With more than 20 years of design experience, Troy Birdsong began his career designing museums and entertainment complexes in Los Angeles. A graduate of Woodbury University with a BS in Interior Architecture and a minor in Business, Troy has worked with Iwerks Entertainment and renowned museum designers Barry Howard and Jeremy Railton designing signage, large-scale graphics and exhibits for the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. He later opened Birdsong Creative by landing the opportunity to design The Brain Inside Your Head, a traveling exhibit that debuted at the Smithsonian Institute.During Birdsong Creative’s history, Troy worked with companies such as Warner Brothers, Sony, The Rand Corporation, and Disney Consumer Products. Upon moving to Franklin, Troy immersed himself in the community and focused on lending his expertise to projects that focused on Heritage (The Franklin Theatre) and Tourism. He’s responsible for Birdsong’s 10-year history as the Williamson County Convention and Visitors Bureau’s agency of record where’s he’s managed two rebrands and a number of tourism campaigns. Oh, and a little Troy trivia: He was a Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey professional clown from 1982-1984.

Toni brings content strategy and marketing expertise to the Birdsong team. A graduate of East Carolina University with a BA in both Political Science and Communications, she began her career as a journalist in 1989 covering politics and business for several Arizona newspapers. An award-winning writer and editor, she moved into the Los Angeles market where she wrote for the Los Angeles Downtown News. Moving into corporate communications, Toni enjoyed a nine-year creative tenure at The Walt Disney Company (two years as an Imagineer) as a writer and Senior Communication Specialist. She’s written more than 2,000 published articles and authored the book More than a Bucket List: How to Make Your Dreams, Passions and Faith a Reality (Harper Collins, 2013) and co-authored (with Tami Heim) the faith-based social media book @stickyJesus: how to live out your faith online (Abingdon Press, 2013). Toni is currently a Family Safety blogger for the Intel Corporation. At Birdsong, Toni develops campaigns, names companies and products, and oversees all copywriting. Oh and she laughs—loudly and often.
Strategy / Branding / Marketing / Social Networking Overview The Franklin Theatre is a beloved community landmark that opened in 1937.
