“You guys need to do your dishes.”

Unfortunately, Troy Birdsong went to be with his Lord and Saviour at the end of 2022. Troy’s amazing personality and friendship will be absolutely missed by anyone who was lucky enough to call him a friend. Birdsong Creative has merged with Muletown Digital, just south of Franklin, TN in Columbia. For more information please click here.

While everyone in the shop is clamoring to fly the pretty kites, Troy’s the one who remembers to bring the string. As our multi-talented, easy-going ringleader, he’s a fountain of knowledge, a bubbling stream of insights, and an ocean of experience. And when we say he’s hands-on with our clients, we mean that; even as CEO, he takes the time to truly understand our client’s business challenges (and know their kids’ and dogs’ names) right alongside our staff.

Troy began his career nearly three decades ago designing museums and entertainment complexes in Los Angeles, including a collaboration with Iwerks Entertainment on signage, large-scale graphics and exhibits for the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. He opened Birdsong Creative with a gig designing The Brain Inside Your Head, a traveling exhibit that debuted at the Smithsonian Institute, and the agency went on to service clients such as Warner Brothers, Sony, The Rand Corporation, and Disney Consumer Products. When he and Toni brought their creative shop to the small town of Franklin, Tennessee, in 2005, the culture shift was a welcome one; they immersed themselves in the close-knit community and focused on lending their expertise to projects that focused on heritage and tourism. Today, the company’s client list runs the industry gamut, including tech startups, B2B giants, beloved local businesses, and national entertainers. Troy is a graduate of Woodbury University.

The Birdsongs have served on a number of boards locally including the Nashville American Marketing Association (NAMA), The Cool Springs Chamber, YMCA’s Restore Ministries, Williamson County Schools IT Advisory Board, Gospel Music Association/Dove Awards Gold Members, and, most recently, The Art Institute of Nashville’s Advisory Board.

Troy lives in Franklin with his wife and agency co-founder Toni, where they wear an even more important pair of co-leader hats: parents to two young adults.
