We never need to ask if Toni’s in the building. When she’s here, the energy is electric, spirits are high, and the laughter is pouring down the hall. She’s a creative force to be reckoned with, wrapped in giant ideas and powered by an even bigger heart.

From developing campaigns and naming companies and products to kicking out bold blog posts that go viral, she’s equal parts brand cheerleader and master wordsmith. Oh and she laughs—loudly and often.

Troy and Toni Birdsong moved Birdsong Creative from Los Angeles to Franklin, Tennessee in 2005. Since day one on Southern soil, they’ve worked hard to become one of the most nimble creative firms in the Nashville-Franklin area. Whether they’re working with big brands like Disney and Warner Brothers or collaborating with vibrant local entities like the Williamson County CVB and the Franklin Theatre, Troy and Toni make sure that each and every client gets treated like Birdsong’s biggest account.

Toni began her career as an award-winning journalist and editor covering politics and business for several Arizona newspapers, later moving into the Los Angeles market where she wrote for the Los Angeles Downtown News. Later shifting to corporate communications, Toni enjoyed a nine-year creative tenure at The Walt Disney Company (two years as an Imagineer) as a writer and Senior Communication Specialist. She’s written more than 2,000 published articles and authored the book More than a Bucket List: How to Make Your Dreams, Passions and Faith a Reality (Harper Collins, 2013) and co-authored (with Tami Heim) the faith-based social media book @stickyJesus: how to live out your faith online (Abingdon Press, 2013). In addition to her role at Birdsong, she is currently a Family Safety blogger for the Intel Corporation. Toni is a graduate of East Carolina University.

The Birdsongs have served on a number of boards locally including Nashville American Marketing Association (NAMA), The Cool Springs Chamber, YMCA’s Restore Ministries, Williamson County Schools IT Advisory Board, Gospel Music Association/Dove Awards Gold Members, and, most recently, The Art Institute of Nashville’s Advisory Board.

Toni lives in Franklin with her husband and Birdsong co-founder Troy, where they wear an even more important pair of co-leader hats: parents to two young adults.
