“When we can help someone put memorable language around the heart of a brand and give them the tools they need to share that ‘why’ with the world, that’s the good stuff.”
Betsy’s the unofficial head of the “What If?” Department at Birdsong. When we’re way down deep in the murky depths of a complex project, she loves to shake things up, take critical look at the chaos, and help us shape it into the strongest version possible for our clients. She’s a master of good messes, and every agency should have one.
As Birdsong’s content strategist, Betsy works closely with our clients to understand every nuance and detail of their business, then leads our team in creating a brand foundation that not only guides their messaging, but helps create clarity of purpose and charts the course for growth. She also writes pretty neat copy, so we’ve got that going for us. (Which is nice).
Betsy brings more than a decade of industry and creative leadership experience to the Birdsong team. While working her way through the ranks of the agency world, she found herself fascinated by brand and messaging strategy, learning everything she could from fearless mentors and fabulous mistakes along the way. Her brand experience spans multiple industries and entities including the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry, Singer Sewing Company, the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Claire’s Boutiques, George Dickel Whisky, Americana Music Triangle, Lumina Foods, American Addiction Centers, Cheekwood Botanical Garden, Cracker Barrel and a wide range of B2B and B2C healthcare clients. She is a graduate of Indiana University and is beyond thankful to have enjoyed college before the advent of social media.
Betsy lives in East Nashville with her husband and a wild pack of children and dogs.
